  • What does Sanken Industry, Inc. do?
We are a custom manufacturer and fabricator, specializing in prototyping, one-off orders, and small volume. We offer CNC machining, lathe, milling, turning, and many other services. The majority of our work is in small to medium sized metals and plastics, though we welcome quotes of any nature.
  • Where are you located?
Our home office and main factory are located in Tokyo, Japan. Orders will ship from this location. We have a secondary factory in Kanagawa, Japan. Our US sales office is located in Milwaukee, WI. Customer service, payments, and other inquires and handled through this office. Poke through the About Us section for more details!
  • Where do you accept orders from? Where do you ship?
While we still have to obey the laws of physics, we accept orders from anywhere in the world. Shipping will always be at the mercy of couriers, but we'll work with you to provide the most suitable solution. Due to COVID-19, there are some restrictions on shipping methods, destinations, etc., which are out of our control. We will do our best to make sure we are providing you with a sensible and fitting shipping method. Currently, all orders ship from Tokyo, Japan to eligible locations, typically through Pegasus or FedEx.
  • Do you have a minimum order?
Generally speaking, there is no minimum quantity, though this does depend on what materials and production methods are being used. For example, machining from raw stock of common materials usually means we can cut a quantity of one or two no problem. Injection molding requires a mold to be produced on top of the actual finished product, so sometimes, this isn't ideal for small volume. We'll do our best to provide you with what you need in a method that is appropriate.
  • What certifications do you carry?
Because we focus on the prototype stage of the process, we do not carry any certifications. However with the right demand, it's something we may pursue in the future.
  • Does you handle any sort of mass production?
While our focus is on small volume orders, we are certainly open to large volume orders. However, we do not handle repeat production orders. Please note we do not offer packaging services, nor do we handle direct to shelf distribution.
  • Will you sign our NDA?
We thought you'd never ask. We are committed to honoring all NDAs, and making sure any proprietary information is protected. We comply fully with your requests regarding design, production, and all facets of the process.
  • I have a really awesome idea for a project, but I'm not sure where to start.
We have a design team that loves to take your rough sketches or envelope math and make them into a full-fledged design. We'll work closely with you so we can bring your ideas to life, all with your exact specifications at the forefront. You can submit a Request For Quote (RFQ) for this project, and we'll work it out together.
  • I still have questions.
No problem! Feel free to send us an email at info[at]sankeninc[dot]com and we'll get back to you right away. We're committed to getting you a response within 24 business hours! If you would like to request a quote for a project, please use the button conveniently located in our header. In both cases, if you don't hear from us within a day or two, there's a good chance our emails are being blocked, and we can't reach out. In that case, please give us a call to see what's happening.

No minimum order means no limit to what we'll make for you. With 40 years of experience, there's a good chance we've done it, and if not, we know someone who knows someone.

Our capabilities include cast molding, plating, stereolithography, machining & turning, painting, hardening, alumite, electrical discharge, cutting, bending, welding, and more. Materials we work with are stainless steel, aluminium (or aluminum, depending on where you're from) titanium, copper, nickel, iron, sheet metal, ABS, POM, Nylon, PC, Acrylic, PE, UPE, Bakelite, Unilite, PPS, PFA, PEEK, PI, PBT, PSUJ, PES, PEI, PA, PPE and others. Don't see it here? Maybe we can give it a shot.

Your prototype starts as a design at our inbox, travels to our CAD room for careful analysis, and then proceeds to the ideal machine for creation. Once completed, your piece moves to hand-finishing, then each item is painstakingly inspected to ensure the final pieces meet the requirements you've laid out. Once they pass the test, each piece is meticulously packed for maximum protection for its journey to you. We have full confidence you'll be over the moon when your order arrives.
